A corrected handwritten title reads The Acting of Donald Beck.

Acting replaces crossed-out wording. The page names a subject but contains no performance or biographical account to interpret.

A handwritten title card reads 'The Acting / of Donald / Beck', with 'Acting' written above a struck-out word.

The revision to 'Acting' frames Donald Beck through performance, as someone to be watched rather than simply described. The card is a heading for a piece that is not drafted on this page.
