Under Gene Lay, a note lists a bottle of Jack Danial's and a hatchet for Ms Roggie, identified as a Spanish - Home Teacher.

The bottle and hatchet make an unusual pair, but the note gives no action or outcome. The crossed-out upper title shows revision of the note rather than a second item in its active text.

A handwritten note headed 'Gene Lay' lists 'The bottle of / Jack Danial's / & The Hatchet / For Ms Roggie, / Spanish - Home / Teacher.', with an earlier 'The Hatchet' line struck above.

The page sets a whiskey bottle and a hatchet beside a named Spanish teacher without any action or commentary. Its heading and the struck first try at 'The Hatchet' suggest a story being outlined, but what the objects mean for 'Ms Roggie' is left for a later scene.
