the yellow blindness; beyond into worlds of biblical

The abstraction of his search had built itself in
coned stages or levels, and now it seemed as if he
were winding down from the rounded upward movement
of Japanese gardens, or the curving plateaus of for-
mer Aztec cities. Sky understanding was being touch-
ed in a comprehensive way about his individuality, un-
warningly embodied, and cosmic nature, and the unfor-
getable pattern, turned now to his clear allinement
with the universal law of line in space, was resound-
ing the meaning of his journey from darkness to total
cycle through the spur cone,
He peered out from a position past burning cool
color, and embraced the all expansive light of blue.
Blue before his eyes, with the great yellowness be-
hind him now in its some-former immense circle, X
rayed out to him Pushing at the back of his brain,
yet now regained no fear of a frozen or boiled body,
Even stranger than the pulling sensation the sun had
power leashed out to him before, was this push of it.
To Animal the cone had given mind endurance, coming
from the quality of experience belonging to a switch-
ing illusion. But now he was beyond, and the sun was
