She was standing in the administrative office still in reverence at the finish of her story. All the while the officer had been somewhat bewildered; pacing to and fro; One moment looking into her eyes; the next, out the windows. He had listened though, for she was demand- ing. "Excuse me," He said; "This has been quite a tale, and I have not yet introduced myself. My name is officer Day, and of course there is absolutely nothing that you could not explain to me, that I would not feel obliged to accept." She smiled. "Surely though," he continued, "from Kauai to Maui is quite a challenge. You think him drowned?" Or maybe he is gone because he caught someone sailing by?" "He was not intended about swimming or sailing on the water," she replied; and continued; "I have travelled back across this island because I felt I saw something leading to an endeavor that no one could ever be sure of; all the same, I think I have a point."
