Joe watched the children go through the gates They pushed it shut from the outside, and he heard the sound of the latch fitting in place. He then turned to Animal and Jaqueline asking if they were having a nice time, and Jaqueline replied that they were fine, while Animal ask- ed if they would like to go out and dine on ex- pensive meat. Jiven Joe responded that he had been waiting to offer them some cheese, bread, and fruit; He went to his small kitchen area arranging it thusly; and brought the food on a silver platter his poverty delighted in; An- imal thought that, (it's been a good theft or a good women;) The bread being home made, made Animal think that maybe the latter was bring- ing Joe joy. Joe placed the platter between his guests, and they picked at the soft food, while Animal filled the cups again with the wine. The sounds of munching, and the gurgle of pouring wine, as they sat within the smoke. "You see, L.A. doesn't need Hollywood to spin a dream out of L.A.," interrupted Animal.
