The smell of her soul would go on in kitchens for life; but this place would be de- molished to the term Realistate Lot. The juke- box was playing jazz; and the booths were fill-- ed with street people eating large portions of reality food from thick porcelain plates. They acknowledged him along the line as he headed for across the street to the wine. He found a Portuguese brand in the wooden discount box, and back at Olivia's was soon putting a big meat type paper wrapped package on top of the wine in his brown paper bag. The frenchfries smelled of pleasure; and as he lowered them into his bag he enjoyed gett-- ing a good deal from the stain of butter already coming through wax on the inside of the paper.
