A Mechanic In His Workshop With His Kid Doing The Homework In Physics

A brief, tender scene of a mechanic helping his child with physics homework, capped by the image of a smoke ring passing through a wire screen as a figure for the completion of all tests.

A nine-line snapshot of a father 'With His Kid / Doing The Homework In Physics' in which the abstract lesson is upstaged by a physical event the page actually witnesses: a 'perfect smoke ring / Bursting after passing... / Through the smallest / of squared wire window screens:' The screen mesh becomes a live demonstration the textbook can only describe, and the dry closing line, 'All I.Q's Tests Are Finished,' lets the workshop quietly settle accounts with the classroom.
